Workshop: Winter Sowing Native Seeds

Join us for Growing Collective’s first workshop as we partner with Wild Ones- Central Wisconsin! Native plant expert and educator Paul Skawinski will be leading an engaging, hands-on session on winter sowing native seeds.

Learn about the plant species native to our region, why some require cold stratification, and why January is the ideal time to start them so they’re ready to flourish in your garden come spring.

Participants will receive guided instruction, get hands-on experience planting native seeds in a take-home tray, and leave with clear instructions on how to care for their seeds over the winter and what to do once spring arrives.

The workshop will take place inside the greenhouse, which is only slightly warm during winter months. Please dress appropriately.
