The Wednesday Walkabouts is an initiative of the Stellenbosch University Museum to share its collections with the public.

The Wednesday Walkabouts centres around the theme of the Stellenbosch Triennale 2025, namely BA’ZINZILE: A Rehearsal for Breathing.

The provocatively curated From the Vault exhibition at the Stellenbosch University Museum engages with its Anthropological collections, most of which have been in archival storage for many decades and have not been on display.

Through lived experience and storytelling, local knowledge keepers will help breathe life into the objects by giving context and access to the practices of these material cultures.

The Wednesday Walkabouts initiative is free to the public and hosted at the SU Museum, 52 Ryneveld Street, Stellenbosch.
