Prof Erick Strauss: "Do scientists need faith (in God)?"

The juxtaposition of science and religion most often reduces to contrasting reason (rational thought) and faith (belief without proof). Is this fair? Or does it show a limited understanding of what science is, and how it is done? And does it narrow our definition of what faith is? Join us for a discussion and reflection on these questions.

Erick Strauss is a professor of Biochemistry who applies chemical thinking to address questions in biology. His research team is currently pursuing new methods to treat bacterial infections, particularly tuberculosis. He has been doing science in faith for more than 27 years.
