Varv (Live!) from Italy

VARV kommt zu uns aus Italien!

Andrea Cappi (keyboards) and Francesco Mascolo (drums) form the duo Varv, an Italian crossover project where the jazz background of the two musicians is stripped of its more traditional elements and used to explore distant territories between electronic and prog rock.
In their music, sequences and written material blend with improvisation and sound manipulation.
Their debut album, Lowlands, was released in May 2024 by the Belgian label Off Record.
In 2024/2025 the duo performed in various venues and jazz clubs across Europe, including Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, France and Germany.

Their latest release is the single Bright (2025), which previews the second album, scheduled for release in early 2026.
