A polar bear plunge is an event held during the winter where participants enter a body of water despite the low temperature. In Canada, polar bear swims are usually held on New Year's Day to celebrate the new year. This is not that!
The Puget Sound Plungers have been cold plunging in the Salish Sea for 4 years now and there are plunges every day! Why? Many reasons but most of those fall under health and well-being; physical, mental and spiritual!
We do NOT run into the water willy nilly shouting or screaming, we do not jump in or under the water, but we enter the water together with calm intention... facing the cold, the challenge, and the uncomfortableness mindfully, purposefully, with calm intention.
And then we stay a while.
We would LOVE to have you come and:
1. plunge with us
2. stay a while
to learn a little about the WHY we do it and to start YOUR New Year of in the very best way we can think of!
With intentional cold exposure and setting an intention for your 2026 plus doing "the hard thing" - first thing- which will not only make your day incredible, but quite possibly, your YEAR!
Please consider joining us.
Bring your friends.
And join our FB group to learn more. We look forward to meeting you at the beach!
I wish you water.
