Terran Sunday Movie Night

Terran's Sunday Movie Night returns with 2002's "The Hours", directed by Stephen Daldry. The Book Club here at Terran recently read "Mrs Dalloway", so it seemed appropriate to watch a film that is inspired and connected to the classic novel. The film functions well on its own, so don't worry about having to have read the book beforehand. Guests are encouraged to arrive around 18:00, with lights going down at 18:20. There will be a brief presentation, and then a discussion will be held. As always, popcorn will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring any other snacks or drinks they might desire.

"The Hours" is a psychological period drama following three women from three time periods, connected by Virginia Woolf's 1925 novel "Mrs Dalloway." The film, itself based on a novel of the same name, is interested in many of the same themes as "Mrs Dalloway" - suicide, longing, anxiety, and the isolation and independence of being a single soul in a sea of many. This movie features an absolutely all star cast as well, with Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore, and Meryl Streep leading each of the segments.
