Studio17 Residency is delighted to welcome artists Miina Laine and Hans-Peter Schütt from Finland to Stavanger!
Walking Narrative is a concept under development which encourages anyone to team up artistically with ongoing processes in any given environment. It is carried out by foot and it is open for all artistic disciplines and aesthetic interpretations. Only requirement for interaction is to act considerately and not to obstruct anybody or anything else from happening.
Our work during the residency at Studio17 has been purely without premeditated plans. We have taken daily walks around the city of Stavanger and observed, reacted, experimented and played with encountered things, circumstances and processes. All materials we have used are found despite a batch of sticker scraps and two rolls of masking tape. In three weeks we have made several artistic actions in public space which we have documented. Most of them are represented in the exhibition along with artworks produced for the gallery.
