Contact Improvisation is an improvised dance based on touch and shared movement rather than choreography. There are no right or wrong steps; instead, dancers respond moment by moment to contact, weight, and balance with others. It’s a practice of deep listening — to your own body, your partner(s), and the forces like gravity and momentum that shape the dance.
Come join us for an evening of dancing together! This is a jam for all, no matter previous experience in Contact Improvisation. We welcome especially beginners!
Structure of the jam:
18:00-ish- opening of the cirlce, warm-up and short introduction to the basics of Contact Improv
18.30-ish We jam! (aka we dance freely without any leading).
19.45-ish We close the circle and hang-out (or go home).
You don´t need to stay for the whole time, although we hope you do! You don´t have to dance th whole time, you are very welcome to take breaks, sit back and watch or rest while others are dancing.
What to wear:
We recommend comfortable clothes for movement. Preferable t-shirt/jumper and pants with full leg length. For safety, put aside jewelleries, watches etc. when entering the jam.
