Make your own full loaf (10 bars) of Christmas soap at The MAC (Staunton, IL)!
This beginner-friendly, hands-on Soap-Along welcomes both brand-new makers and past students who simply want to make a beautiful holiday loaf.
We’ll do a quick walk through of the steps of cold-process, goat-milk & tallow soapmaking—safely working with lye, choosing oils, scenting/coloring, and pouring your festive loaf—before you make your very own loaf of soap, but this session is lighter on theory than our Intro to Soapmaking class. Think: make together, have fun, ask questions & get guidance, use our essential oils and plant-based scents, colors & tools.
Your registration includes a premium, reusable wooden & silicone loaf mold—yours to keep—so you can continue making soap at home.
NOTE: Your soap needs a brief set-up time before traveling, so plan to enjoy the Staunton area and pick up your loaf about an hour later.
Bring a long-sleeve button-down shirt/smock to wear over your clothing. All other materials and safety gear included; feel free to bring your own safety glasses if you have favorite.
Optional pop-up shop after class with refill kits & products to keep the fun going at home.
Registration required via The MAC link below.
NOTE: You'll be sent further instructions that you'll need before class so make sure and give a good email address that you check often when you register!
