About the event

Harmony by Design Retreat
This workshop promises to be an extraordinary and enlightening experience.

You'll delve into the foundational principles of feng shui, explore the flow of Qi energy, and unravel the mysteries of the I-Ching. These teachings will be more than theoretical; they will become a living part of your journey, harmoniously integrating into your home and life. He will guide you through practical feng shui tools, starting with the Five Elements, which harmonize various aspects of your environment. We'll explore the Ba-Gua map, an octagonal guide to aligning your home with universal vitality, and delve into the Nine Star Ki, where we use your birthdates to uncover your personal elements. These tools are not just metaphysical knowledge; they are practical keys you can immediately use to transform your living space and enhance your
life's circumstances.

"Wind and water" – this is the literal translation of Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese practice that helps us harmonize our homes with spirit to create environments where we truly thrive.

During our session, we'll do gentle Qigong exercises that connect breath with intention, allowing us to sense the life force – Qi that animates everything around us. According to Taoist belief, the universe is born from the interplay of Yin and Yang opposing forces that are always in motion. This insight is integral to the I Ching, a philosophy that acknowledges the ever-changing and renewing nature of life. If you own any I-Ching books, kindly bring them along. We will discuss and explore various interpretations to gain a richer understanding and guidance for our circumstances.Together, we'll turn our feng shui vision toward the JMMTA, examining its physical spaces through the lens of these ancient principles identifying blocked energy pathways, rebalancing and activating dormant prosperity corners.

The yoga class will gently guide participants through postures and breathwork designed to ground the body and open energy pathways, creating a physical and spiritual alignment with the principles of feng shui. This practice will allow you to connect more deeply with your own flow of Qi, cultivating strength, balance, and inner clarity. The sound healing class will use soothing tones and vibrations to help release tension, restore energetic balance, and invite a state of deep relaxation where the wisdom of Feng Shui can be fully integrated.

Together, these sessions will enhance the workshop experience, helping participants embody the teachings not only in their minds and homes but also in their bodies and spirits.

By readjusting some areas and recommending placement of deities, artwork, and planting, we'll create a rejuvenated space where our collective energy can nurture the organization's growth, like water feeding the roots of a flourishing tree.

Leslee Penny is a shamanic and mindful practitioner with decades of experience in holistic healing. With over 35 years of study in Eastern philosophy, she is certified in a wide range of healing modalities, including breathwork, meditation, hypnosis, life coaching, and sound healing. Leslee is also a certified “mindful practitioner” and holds certification in Singing Bowl Healing therapy. She frequently leads sound healing sessions—also known as sound baths—where she uses Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and bells to create therapeutic vibrations. In these sessions, participants are invited to lie down or sit comfortably and immerse themselves in the healing tones, which are known to reduce stress, anxiety, and fatigue while promoting deep relaxation, clarity, and a sense of spiritual well-being. The vibrations from these instruments are also believed to improve circulation and boost immune function. Leslee’s breath work and meditation offerings further support emotional and physical wellness. Breathwork involves intentional, conscious breathing techniques that activate the parasympathetic nervous system, triggering the body’s natural relaxation response. Research shows that slow, deep breathing can lower stress hormones, reduce blood pressure, and promote a calm, balanced state of mind. Combined with her sound healing practices, Leslee’s approach to wellness offers a comprehensive and deeply restorative experience, helping participants release tension, restore inner harmony, and build resilience to everyday stress.

Kerry Sullivan has 17 years of dance experience and over eight years of teaching yoga, bringing a deep understanding of movement and energy work. She earned her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification from Tula Yoga in 2015 and is Reiki II attuned, as well as an Advanced IET practitioner. In 2020, she expanded her expertise with birth and postpartum doula training through Healthy Women, Healthy Futures, studying with DONA teachers Debra Pascali-Bonaro and Amadoma Bediako. She also completed the Radical Birth Keeper School with the Free Birth Society.
Kerry’s mission is to guide students toward their divine potential, inner strength, and holistic healing through yoga, movement, and energy work.
