Christopher Sneed started this and continues every year.
It’s that time of year again to remind the world that we have not forgotten and we never will.
The time where we take time out of our busy lives to remember the loved ones and all the innocent souls we lost on the tragic day of 9/11/2001 as well as the countless military personnel that was lost following these attacks by defending our great nation.
Details:
The flag location is Highway 50 “Spooner Pass” between Carson City and Lake Tahoe on the East Bound (downhill) side approximately 2 miles from the bottom (Carson City).
There is a paved pull out roughly an 1/8 mile uphill of the flag location for car parking. Any motorcycles can park along the edge of the road but please do not park in the area directly in front of the flag.
My motorcycle club will be leaving Reno at 5:30pm on Wednesday 9/10/25.
We should arrive at the flag location by approximately 6:15pm and will address any spectators on roadside safety and then get right to changing out the flag to beat the sunset.
The Eastbound #2 lane (slow lane) will be closed for safety buffer thanks to the Sparks branch of Granite Construction for donating the traffic control services once again.
The flag currently flying that will be retired has the name patch of a soldier sewn into the edge of it. His brother will be receiving the flag this year.
I look forward to sharing this moment with you all and as always I greatly appreciate your support.
Please feel free to share this. The more the merrier.
