Rewilding our Skies

Join OLF Founder and bird of prey expert, Dr Tim Mackrill, in the wonderful setting of The View at Rutland Nursery, for an illustrated talk about his work with Ospreys and White- tailed Eagles.

Tim will explain how pioneering reintroduction projects – which began with the Rutland Osprey Project – have helped to restore both species to England. He’ll also discuss how the latest in satellite tracking technology has enhanced our understanding of the Osprey’s amazing migration to West Africa and enabled Tim and the team to follow the movements of young White-tailed Eagles released on the Isle of Wight, some of whom have visited Rutland on their travels.

You will receive a complimentary drink on arrival and canapés will be served prior to Tim’s talk. There will also be a cash bar and an opportunity to purchase bottles of Multum Gin Parvo’s Migration Gin, which is inspired by the journey migrating Ospreys make each year.

A raffle will be held and all funds raised on the evening will go to support the work of the Osprey Leadership Foundation.
