Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Songwriters Hall of Fame members Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham play a rare, intimate listening room. This R&B songwriting duo has penned such hits as Aretha Franklin's "I Never Loved A Man The Way I Loved You", Wilson Pickett's "Mustang Sally", Percy Sledge's "When A Man Loves A Woman", The Box Tops' "Cry Like A Baby", along with "I'm Your Puppet", "The Dark End Of The Street" & countless others. They have also written songs for Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, Hank Williams Jr., Jerry Lee Lewis, Solomon Burke,... Hear the stories behind the songs.
