The UQLS is proud to present the Annual Sir Harry Gibbs Fundraising Gala for 2025, generously sponsored by Clayton Utz!

The event is named in honour of Sir Harry Gibbs who founded the UQLS in 1937 to enrich the Law School experience.
The theme of this year’s Gala is ‘Judicial Immunity: Reflections After the Stratford Decision’. A guest speaker will deliver a speech relating to this theme, which will be followed by a chaired Q&A.
This year, we are fundraising for Law Right to support their legal mission to promote access to justice for vulnerable and disadvantaged clients. You can read more about Law Right here:

We will also be selling raffle tickets for an array of prizes to be won. More information about the prizes you can have a chance to win will be released in the lead up to the event. All proceeds from the raffle will go towards supporting Law Right, as well as 50% of individual ticket sales.
There will also be a complementary assortment of platters and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
