Ian Huchinson Property Overview: This 24-unit apartment complex was purchased in the spring of 2024 by Ian, who has begun the process of renovating this community into a thriving apartment community. The transformation from the prior condition to the newly updated one is astounding.

Tom Simcox Property Overview: Tom purchased a single-family house in 2016 with $15k and then sold it to buy a duplex in 2018, and then in 2020 sold that duplex to buy a 12-unit, and then once again sold those 12 units in 2023 to buy The Elm Tree Apartments, a 24-unit apartment complex. Tom was able to do this by deploying the 1031 strategy to turn $15k and one house into $??? and a 24-unit. He will be covering the entire process step by step with the MIHM Family at this month's event.

Alex Oliver Overview: Over the past 15 years, Alex has built Oliver Properties from personal investments into a 15-person, vertically integrated real estate firm with $50M in assets under management. Specializing in value-add multifamily, mixed-use, and retail projects in St. Louis, he has invested in more than 550 units and closed over 20 acquisitions. With a background in mechanical engineering and project management, Alex brings a disciplined, growth-focused approach to development, asset repositioning, and property management.

Ian Huchinson Overview: Ian is a local St. Louis Multifamily investor who has slowly but surely built a multi-million-dollar real estate portfolio over the past several years. Through strategic purchases, he maximizes his returns by buying right and managing his properties appropriately according to his business plan.

Tom Simcox Overview: Tom Simcox’s mission is to live purposefully and empower others to live purposefully by creating a clear vision and the financial capacity to achieve it. He has been a teacher at an international college in Thailand, the CEO of a top local real estate office, a business coach to several top 1% local Realtors, and the owner of several real estate-related businesses in St Louis.
