Perfect for fans of Fall and Halloween vibes! This Halloween season, Continuum Vocal Ensemble invites you into the world of the Haunted, a festive fall evening of spooky choral storytelling where spirits rise, witches whisper, and lullabies blur into nightmares.
The evening will blend spine-tingling narratives with haunting vocals through pieces like Dave Matthews' "Gravedigger," an eerie vocal setting of the mythic tale of "Medusa," ghostly folklore from the Japanese piece "Kijo (The Witch)," a crowd-pleasing Voctave mashup of "Poor Unfortunate Souls/I Put a Spell on You," and the cinematic ballad "The Hanging Tree."
We'll also feature a St. Louis professional storyteller weaving scary tales with the singers providing the soundtrack, and the exciting premiere of a brand new vocal piece, "Now I l Lay Me Down to Sleep," a chilling lullaby composed by Continuum's own Dayne Newberry.
