Journal Club with Away & A Broad and Feminist Book Club

Inspired by The Book of Alchemy by Suleika Jaouad and Suleika's Substack, Away and A Broad & Feminist Book Club are teaming up to bring people together for an afternoon of connection & writing.

Doors will open at 1:30PM for you to come in and settle into a cozy writing space before we begin. We'll have a couple prompts and some time to share anything that might have risen to the surface.

The General Guide for Journal Club:

- Introduce ourselves and share our relationship to journaling: lifelong

scribbler, occasional morning-page practitioner, or total beginner.‌

- Read and Write: starting with a prompt such as Write 10 sentences or scenes from the past 24 hours.

- Share and discuss: as you feel comfortable to share memories, insights, resistance, surprises.‌

All you need to bring is a writing utensil and your journal! Outdoor food and beverage are allowed in this venue.
