Presenting "The Librarians" at St. Joseph's Historic Trail Theater

JOIN us for our jointly-sponsored showing of this award-winning documentary. "The Librarians" is a rallying cry for freedom to read. As book banning sweeps across the U.S. at an unprecedented rate, brave librarians emerge as first responders in the fight for democracy and our First Amendment Rights.

Doors and the Snack Bar to the Historic Trail Theater in downtown St. Joseph open at 5:30 PM. ADMISSION IS FREE. The showing is Jointly sponsored by St. Joseph Persisterhood, St. Joseph Public Library and Rolling Hills Library.

Following the film showing, we will present Latonya Williams–St. Joseph School District’s Board President, St. Joseph Library Board member, and Director of the Bartlett Center–with the donations we’ve collected, and Platte Co. High School Library Director Valorie Stokes, Rolling Hills Library Director Michelle Mears, and St. Joseph Public Library Director Mary Beth Revels will field our questions about librarians/libraries at the frontlines in the fight for democracy.
