"Be Ready" Practice Session

Wondering how to respond when someone confronts you about your beliefs? What steps should you take if you witness federal law enforcement detaining someone in your community? What are effective ways to engage with people who are still forming their political views?

The “Be Ready” practice sessions give folks an opportunity to practice how to respond in difficult situations via role playing and reflective processing. The sessions are held twice monthly, after every small group meeting. We start around 12:10pm.

We meet upstairs in the sanctuary, accessible from the Cherry Street parking lot. Please park on the street or in the lot north of the building -- the lot at Eastern and Cherry is for another property. Please reserve the parking lot for those that need closer access.

This event meets ADA standards:
The Meeting House building is two stories built into the side of a small hill. Both levels are ADA accessible. Our meetings take place on the upper level, and there is ample parking on the hill and a wheel-chair accessible entrance from the upper parking area. This area is located off Cherry Street, a one-way street that runs between Maple Street and Eastern Avenue. Attendees will need to approach the Meeting House by first going to Maple Street and turning either left if coming from Railroad Street, or right if coming from Main Street. There are restrooms on both floors.
