Camilla Dixon - Life in Full Colour

Join artist Camilla Dixon for a dynamic drawing workshop exploring the energy of the clothed figure in motion.

Camilla’s practice spans over thirty years, beginning at Central St Martins in the early 1990s, where—under the guidance of her tutor Howard Tangye—she discovered the joy of capturing the figure from life. Students would take turns posing in their own clothes, holding slightly animated versions of natural postures for just five to ten minutes. These short, expressive studies encouraged playful experimentation with materials, marks, and perspective.

In this workshop, Camilla brings that same spirit of spontaneity and creativity. You’ll be encouraged to respond to movement and character, try out mixed media techniques, and explore new ways of seeing and recording the human form.

Perfect for anyone who wants to loosen up their drawing style, reconnect with playful mark-making, or simply experience the fun of working from life in a relaxed, supportive setting.
