Tackling Tough Topics in Creative Nonfiction
In this interactive presentation, local author Lora Stead will share five tips for writing about emotionally sensitive subjects (think trauma, suffering, grief—whatever “tough” means to you). The content will be geared to writing personal essays or memoirs, but the takeaways could also apply to other works of nonfiction, such as articles, histories, or biographies. Lora will create a safe space where folks can learn how to better share the vulnerable stories of their hearts. If you’ve ever felt a tug to share about a tough topic in prose—regardless of experience level—this presentation is for you!
Free and open to the public.
