Tree Planting in St. Charles

Make a difference in a few hours that can last decades! ReLeaf Michigan, a non-profit tree organization, in collaboration with St. Charles Community Schools, the US Forest Service, and the MDNR Urban and Community Forestry is planting 20 trees at St. Charles Community Schools campus on Thursday, October 2nd. The trees planted here will replace trees lost during early 2025 tornado activity and provide shade for players & spectators near the softball field, baseball field, and practice football field.

Funding for this project is provided by the USDA Forest Service and MDNR Urban and Community Forestry Program through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. ReLeaf Michigan’s tree experts will be there to show volunteers how to plant a tree and oversee the event. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a shovel, hard rake and gloves if you have them. Event occurs rain or shine (we’re a hearty group!). No planting experience necessary. Families are welcome! We hope to see you there!
