If you would like to learn to Crochet then this is the perfect workshop for you
Saturday 10-4pm 28th March
Andrea will take you through the process step by step.
During this Beginner class you will learn the following:
*How to hold the hook and yarn to best suit you.
*Learn the basic stitches to get you started and to be able to make a granny square. Including how to form a chain, single, double and treble stitch. How to join a new colour, basic typed and symbol patterns instructions.
*You will then begin a Granny square lap Blanket (or bigger) which you will then be able to work on at home after the class.
You will need to bring:
*Double Knitting wool in 3 ( 3x 100g Ball size) colours of your choice and complement each other. Or if you are a knitter and have leftovers of this size of yarn then bring that with you and make a multi-coloured project. Style craft is an easy to find brand and inexpensive to learn with or any brand you prefer so long as it is Double Knit.
PLUS
*Basic sewing kit to include scissors.
*Large eyed blunt wool needle if you have one, or I have some that I will bring.
You will take Home:
Some worksheets to refer to at home.
A steel crochet hook.
An example of a Granny square made by me.
Samples that you have created in class using wool that I will bring in for you to initially practice with.
The beginnings of your own lap blanket using the Double-knit wool that you bring to the class.
