About the event

Glass Suncatcher Workshop
Enjoy a creative 90-minute workshop where you'll design and make your own fused glass suncatcher.

Guided by local fused glass artist Gavin from Heartwood Glass, you'll learn the fundamentals of fused glass art, including how to safely cut sheet glass and work with colourful crushed glass. Choose from a vibrant palette of transparent and opal glass to craft a one-of-a-kind piece that catches the light beautifully.

After the workshop your sun catchers will be taken away and fused. The finish product will be returned to the museum for collection.

This hands-on session is ideal for teens and adults.

Children (ages 10-16) are welcome to attend with a paying, participating adult.
