Stepping Into Leadership is designed for current and aspiring supervisors, managers, and business owners wanting to develop their workplace leadership skills. This three-day, six-session program provides valuable guidance and tools to help you operate all aspects of your business - ultimately growing your skills to become a more effective leader.
The course will cover three distinct areas of workplace leadership:
1. Leadership Skills - elevate yourself as a professional and inspiring leader
2. People Management - build and manage a strong and engaged team through coaching, effective performance management, productive conflict strategies and communication
3. Business Skills - key tools to help with productivity, goal setting, decision making, time and change management
DiSC Assessment:
Participants must have completed a DiSC personal assessment to participate in the course within the last 12 months. DiSC is a personal assessment tool used by more than a million people every year to help improve teamwork, communication and productivity in the workplace. Organizations and facilitators use DiSC as tools to help ignite cultural change and inspire lasting behaviour that positively shapes their workface.
All participants who complete the course will receive a Squamish Excellence Certificate of Completion. You will become a more confident, productive and strong leader. Grow your career, grow yourself.

About Your Facilitator:
Christine McLeod has been our lead facilitator for Stepping Into Leadership since 2018 and, to date, has inspired well over 100 supervisors and managers in Squamish to become the best leaders they can be for their teams, their business, and their community.
What makes Christine such an effective facilitator is her passion for all things Squamish, her 3 decades of operational and management experience leading teams, and her inspiring ability to always make the topics covered operationally relevant to the audience in the room.
We are delighted to have Christine back for another Stepping Into Leadership series this fall and have her lead important discussions with participants about how to tackle the current issues facing Squamish teams.
