PORTALS is a multi-sensory art exhibition. A mythic journey of healing and transformation. Step into the portals— emerge changed. Featuring 22 local artists creating 45 original works of art in various mediums.
An immersive art experience which will help to lay the somatic foundations (a body based or felt-sense) for new experiences and healing. Through multi-sensory interactions with art, the experience will support viewers’ nervous systems in exploring their felt sense so that they may better navigate changes and transitions.
The exhibit is built on a thematic framework of the Tarot card archetypes, specifically the transitions between the archetypes, to create a map to explore universal themes around transitions.
Artists from many disciplines are collaborating to bring this one of a kind experience to life. This installation includes original music, paintings, photography, dance videos, poetry, recordings, ceramics, fiber arts, and lighting. There is something for everyone.
