Snyder Whitewater Skills Practice

Join us as we will be taking advantage of the fall weekend releases of the Buck Creek corridor! We will be having a skills practice at Snyder Whitewater Park that will include on the water skills such as attainment, ferrying, and surfing.

New paddlers are encouraged to join, as the water will still be warm enough to safely practice combat rolls and swims. We will also have on land practice with throw ropes and setting up basic anchor systems for river rescue. It's going to be a fun afternoon you won't want to miss!

Meetup time is 12pm at Snyder Whitewater Park in downtown Springfield. The dam release takes a couple of hours to reach Plum St, so if the water is low at the start we will start off with a throw rope instructional until the water reaches the park. Snacks and cold waters will be provided. We hope to see you there!!
