Rescue Behind Enemy Lines: The Story of George M. Neal - Exhibit Opening & Presentation

Join us for a FREE special program on Saturday, November 8 honoring the extraordinary life and service of George M. “Milt” Neal, a Springfield native and one of the first African American U.S. Navy aircrewmen.

Guest speakers will begin at 1pm with Kelley Neal Gray, Neal's daughter and Paul Metz, retired Air Force test pilot.

The event will include the unveiling of a new exhibit and two custom-built models commemorating the 1951 rescue Neal was involved with and the future USS George M. Neal
(DDG-131).
