VINE Sanctuary’s beloved Pasture Pals program is back, giving kids the rare chance to learn about farmed animals not from books or cartoons, but from the animals themselves. Kids aged 6 and up are invited to spend their Sundays where the grass is green and the goats are curious.
Please arrive on time. Sessions begin promptly at 11 am, and late arrivals won’t be able to join the group once it starts.
Each session includes:
• An interactive humane education lesson designed by expert educators and delivered by a local elementary school teacher;
• A kid-friendly bit of volunteer work helping the animals, such as by helping to fill up their water troughs;
• The opportunity to meet animals at the sanctuary, including goats, sheep, cows, and more!
Each session has its own theme, rooted in big ideas made approachable through stories, games, and the animal residents at VINE Sanctuary. This week's theme is respect for differences.
No two sessions are the same, so whether your child comes only once or joins us every Sunday, they’ll explore new themes and build a deeper understanding of what it means to care about animals, the planet, and other people.
There’s no need to register, just arrive on time, wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, and come with curiosity but not snacks. The sheep and goats have a sixth sense for granola bars hidden in pockets, so please do not tempt them!
All sessions are held at VINE Sanctuary located at 201 Massey Road in Springfield, VT at 11am. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
