Intro to Hand Drumming

Intro to Hand Drumming (2-Week Series)
Join us for a two-week introduction to hand drumming, designed for beginners and curious rhythm-lovers alike. We’ll explore foundational hand-drumming techniques and learn simple, joyful ensembles using a variety of percussion instruments, including gankogui, alo, tubano hand drum, frame drums, and more.

This series is led by John Svagera, a seasoned instructor with over 35 years of teaching experience, who brings rhythm to life in an engaging and supportive way. Expect a fun, hands-on experience that builds confidence, coordination, and connection through rhythm.

We will meet Saturday 3/14 and 3/21 from 12-2pm. Class is $60 for the series. Drums are provided, but feel free to bring one if you have one. 3
