February Meeting: Pride and Prejudice

Jane Austen's witty novel about Elizabeth Bennet, one of five daughters in a family of modest means, whose life is upended by the arrival of wealthy bachelors, especially the proud Mr. Darcy.

The story follows Elizabeth and Darcy as they overcome initial disdain—fueled by his arrogance and her quick judgments (prejudice)—to recognize their true feelings, culminating in their eventual marriage and the happiness of her sister Jane with Darcy's friend, Mr. Bingley, after navigating societal pressures, family drama, and misunderstandings.
