Buck Creek Fall Release Run

Despite the late summer drought, the scheduled weekend releases for the Buck Creek corridor are still going as planned!

We will be running the full 5 mile stretch, starting at the dam and finishing at Snyder Park. We will meet at Prarie View Recreation Area and start running shuttle by 11:30am. This run is mostly class 1 with a few class 2 rapids. Anyone is welcome to join! However, you are required to have a kayak, paddle, life jacket, helmet, and a spray skirt. If you will need any of the above items, let us know and we can most likely bring extra gear for you!

After the run, we will have some fun surfing the waves at the playpark. Bottled water and snacks will be provided. Dry gear isn't required, but be mindful of the possible chilly water this time of year. We had a lot of fun last fall with these 141cfs releases. The schedule for this year is the same, every weekend through late November. We look forward to seeing you on the river again!
