Birding the Northside – Free Community Program!

Join Jordi Raos from the Springfield Conservation Nature Center for a relaxing afternoon Birding the Northside at Lafayette Park!

Whether you're brand new to birding or already love spotting birds, this program is a great opportunity to learn more about the species that live right here in your neighborhood.

We’ll take a guided walk through the park while learning how to identify birds by sight and sound, observing their behaviors, and discussing urban wildlife. It’s a fun, casual way to spend time outdoors and connect with nature.

Optional items to bring:
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Water bottle & snacks
• Notebook for observations
• Camera with zoom lens
• Binoculars (some will be available to borrow)
