📚 Become a Reading Tutor—Change a Life 🌟
You don’t need a teaching background to help someone learn to read—all it takes is time, encouragement, and a willingness to make a difference.
We’re inviting volunteers to join our One-to-One Reading Tutoring Program, where you’ll be paired with a child or adult who’s working to strengthen their reading skills. Just one hour a week of tutoring can create lasting change in someone’s life.
Our next Tutor Training Session will prepare you with everything you need—training, materials, and ongoing support—so you feel confident and ready to help.
📅 Date: Saturday, October 11
🕑 Time: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM
📍 Location: Midtown Carnegie Branch Library – Conference Room
📍 Address: 397 E Central St, Springfield, MO 65802
Tutors can choose to work with learners either in person or online, depending on what fits best.
💬 One tutor shared:
"He is super thrilled about reading these books. He asked to take the colored copy home… is that okay? He reads them to his Mom and Dad.
It feels like he is starting his own library!"
✨ You can be the difference in someone’s story.
