Join us for our first bird walk of the fall! Temperatures are dropping, bringing our winter birds to us! Join Lauren for an easy walk on trails near Lake Fayetteville and the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks! Along the way, learn ways to get your own yard ready for fall and winter! Best of all, this free event is family- friendly!
Species may include warblers, vireos, and flycatchers on their way out of Arkansas for the year, as well as ducks, nuthatches, and sparrows arriving for the winter. Of course, you never know who we'll actually see, which is half the fun!
We will meet at the Lake Fayetteville Public Parking lot just south of the Botanical Gardens, and will spend about 2 hours walking at a leisurely pace along the nearby paved and unpaved trails, as well as a boardwalk. It is relatively flat terrain, but please wear comfortable shoes and clothing for the walk. Water bottles are also strongly encouraged. If you would like to bring a camera, phone with the Merlin Bird ID App, or pair of binoculars, they are welcome but not required to enjoy the experience!
To help us gain traction and reach people outside of our followers, please like, RSVP, and share this event!
Thanks! We hope to see you there! 🐦❤️🍂
