A Brighter Education for Dyslexia, a local nonprofit, is excited to announce a dyslexia family awareness event on Saturday, October 4th. All families, administrators, teachers and individuals who support dyslexia are welcome to attend.
At The Woodlands Township board meeting on Thursday, September 25th a Proclamation will be read encouraging all citizens to support those affected by dyslexia in both academic settings and work environment. In addition, The Woodlands Township called the community to support local community’s efforts to raise awareness by declaring October as National Dyslexia Awareness Month.
With this recognition, The Woodlands Township will light up the Woodlands Waterway Square fountains, water wall, the pedestrian bridge, the walkway by Riva Row House, along with the bandstand area at Hughes Landing RED, October 4th.
As a community, let's celebrate this National Dyslexia Awareness Month by meeting at Waterway Square for a group photo in recognition of the hard work and perseverance of our students and families.
***We will be taking the group photo approximately at 7:45-8:00 pm by the Waterway Square Wall.
***Wear red and have your student wear a costume showing their "Dyslexia Superpower" or cape. Also, there are some great shirts online.
