Get ready to ruck, roll, or stroll your way through a fall-themed fitness challenge that supports veterans and adaptive athletes! Ruck & Roll is an inclusive, high-energy endurance event with options for every level.
Location: Blue Marsh National Recreation Area – State Hill Parking Area (599 Brownsville Rd, Wernersville, PA )
WHAT'S A RUCK?!?
A ruck is walking/hiking with a weighted pack. Rucking is a fundamental part of military training, involving soldiers walking long distances while carrying heavy packs.
Ruck & Roll participants can use weighted packs, vests, or no weight at all!
Ruck Distances
4.3 Miles: 1 loop (12 PM start)
8.6 Miles: 2 loops (10 AM start)
13 Miles: 3 loops (8 AM start)
Ruck Divisions:
Ranger: Competitive, 40 lbs (150+ lbs participants)
Scout: Competitive, 20 lbs (under 150 lbs)
Cadet: Competitive, 10 lbs (youth or new ruckers)
Infantry: Social Ruck, no timing, light or no weight — entry-level, fun pace
Roll Distances
Challenging hilly trails designed to test strength and endurance. Review the course maps, including elevation profiles.
3.5 Miles: 1 loop (12 PM start)
7.0 Miles: 2 loops (10 AM start)
10.5 Miles: 3 loops (8 AM start)
