Come and honor the Goddess Hekate on her Feast day. The Goddess Hekate is known as the Queen of Witches. She holds many names, and there are many aspects to her, but the one that our Temple connects with is Hekate Dadophoros, the Light Bringer.
We will perform a simple ritual and walk the Labyrinth in a meditative state. Join us to invoke the Torch-bearing Goddess to reveal truths and secrets. Petition Her to guide you in your path and to illuminate with Her torches the right way forward.
Please bring any of the following offerings: flowers, honey, mead, wine, and antique keys. Bring your drum or rattle and dress in your witchy finest or basic black.
Event Fee:
Free for Temple Members
$ 20 for Temple Friends

Hekate as a torchbearer is connected to the initiatory processions of the ancient mystery cults (especially the Eleusinian Mysteries) as well as her general psychopomp attributes. The torch-carrying Goddess whose procession follows Her in the night is quite the evocative image. The light of the torch can be interpreted in many different ways, including the enlightenment of the mysteries, the guiding light of the initiatory preparations and processes, the illumination of life and purpose, and the symbolism of Hekate’s celestial and dual solar-lunar associations.
