We warmly invite you to join us as we celebrate 170 years of God’s faithfulness to our church family. It will be a weekend of joyful worship, biblical preaching, fellowship, and thanksgiving.
We are honoured to welcome Mike Raiter as our guest preacher for the Anniversary services.
Mike is the Director of the Centre for Biblical Preaching in Melbourne. He was formerly Head of Missions at Moore College and, more recently, Principal of Melbourne School of Theology. Mike spent 11 years serving in Pakistan, largely in theological education.
A gifted preacher and the author of over 35 books and articles—including Stirring of the Soul, the 2004 Australian Christian Book of the Year—Mike is deeply committed to training others in faithful, expository preaching, both in Australia and around the world.

We are also delighted to announce the release of a new book, The Founders of the Wharf Street–City Tabernacle Baptist Church, during the Anniversary weekend. This launch will be a special moment for our church family.
❤️ Thank Offering: Supporting Fishers of Men
This year’s Thank Offering will go to Fishers of Men, a Queensland-based, inter-denominational Christian charity serving those facing homelessness, addiction, and severe disadvantage. With over 100 volunteers from Brisbane churches, they provide street outreach, meals, residential recovery programs, and pastoral care.
