It’s time to wok this way!
Well-known for its recognizable and unique shape, the wok is a great tool to have in any kitchen. Paired with the right skills, you will embark on a great culinary journey to learn Asian fusion cuisine in your own home.
In this engaging, partial hands-on class, you’ll master the essential techniques of wok cooking, focusing on one of the most fundamental methods - stir-frying. You'll learn the art of properly seasoning your wok, then stir-fry your own prepared vegetables, creating a flavorful mouthwatering dish. By the end of this class you'll not only have the skills to cook with a wok, but a newfound appreciation for the bold, complex flavors that make wok cooking so special.
One of our newest instructors, Jake Thompson is a self-taught home cook who began cooking as a hobby, which blossomed into a passionate culinary career. Starting out as a student at The Kitchen Engine, taking nearly every class he could sign up for (“try everything once!” he says), Jake now joins TKE as an instructor to take your home cooking skills to the next level. Ask him about his pets who truly love his cooking!
On the menu:
Sweet and stir fry with beef, or vegetables, and a bright edamame (soy bean) salad.
