Fresh Indigo Dyeing & Simple Resist Techniques with Beth Mort from Snapdragon Flower Farm. Explore the art of dyeing with fresh indigo on silk. Using the salt extraction method, you will learn different ways of resist-binding to create beautiful patterns to use in future dye projects. Learn how to grow, harvest, and process pigment plants in your own garden. You will leave with a hand dyed Habotai silk scarf and Beth’s favorite dye plant seed. Cost: $95, includes all class materials & supplies. *Class is limited to 12 people. Registration deadline: Sept.5th (bring an apron or dress in clothing knowing it could get stained).
