Cranksgiving is part alleycat race and part donation drive, and is an annual tradition in hundreds of other cities. Riders choose their own route between grocery store checkpoints, purchase groceries to donate from a scavenger list, and end the ride by donating to a food bank.
- Saturday, November 22nd
- Meet 9am at AM Cannon Park
- Ride 10-1pm
- After party 1-3pm at Hat Trick Brewing
- All donations go to Our Place in west central
We'll meet in the morning, riders will get a ride manifest, and everyone will decide on their own route through checkpoints to the finish. You'll get points for each item you purchase from our manifest scavenger list and points for each checkpoint you stop at (checkpoints are all optional though). There will even be a few extra primes to help you pad your score (you might want to start airing out your turkey costumes).
If you're good with routing, you should be able to hit half the stops with about 10 miles of riding and you shouldn't need to rush shopping. If you want to try hitting all of the stops, you'll ride about 30 miles and will need to bike and shop quite quick.
Ride as little or as much as you want, this ride is open to everyone. If you'd like to help, reach out and help get this turkey off the ground.
