Things are Wild on the Farm - meet the author and illustrator event

Local author, Lisa Liebl, will read her newly released children's picture book, Things are Wild on the Farm. This story tells the heartwarming tale of Kevin, an abandoned baby Sandhill Crane, and Sean the boy who cares for him. Sean has a heart for wild creatures and shows kindness to the baby crane. He also learns a great responsibility and that as a wild bird, Kevin cannot stay with him forever. The sweet farm life illustrations were hand-drawn by local artist, Syl Thompson. Lisa will also give a short presentation on Sandhill Cranes. You'll learn about these beautiful creatures who make their home in Minnesota for part of the year. Both Lisa and Syl will be available for questions and book signing after the presentation. Books will be available for purchase- checks or cash only.
