Please join Dr. Andrey Reznikov for his Geek Speak:
"English has been declared the official language of the United States. What does this mean?"

The vast majority of countries in the world have an official language (or languages). Up until recently (March 1, 2025) United States was one of the few countries that did not have an official language. This presentation will analyze the concept of official language and arguments both for and against it.

These lectures are free and open to the public! Every Monday (save for holidays) at 4:00 p.m. in Jonas Academic 110 on the Spearfish BHSU campus.
