A Victorian Santa at Todd's 2025

Historic Santa will return for another Christmas at Todd’s! This year we will continue our Victorian theme from October into December with a Late Victorian themed costume to complement the Todd furnishings during the festive season. We will also be displaying a formal Christmas tree which was not widely used until post-1848. The lecture will start at 1pm, Santa will focus on is the late Victorian celebration of Christmas, including the influence of Charles Dickens and Prince Albert’s use of the tree. Please come and close out the year with us at Todd’s celebrating an 1800s Christmas with us.
