Rotary Club of Miramar Pines Presentation: The Guardian Ad Litem Program In Action

Thursday, September 25th, at noon, join the Rotary Club of Miramar Pines as we welcome Kerry-Ann Brown from Florida Guardian ad Litem.

Kerry-Ann Brown currently works for the Florida Guardian ad Litem Office as a Volunteer Recruiter in the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County. The Florida Guardian ad Litem Office represents abused, abandoned, and neglected children in court and in the community through the collaboration of a multidisciplinary team that includes an attorney, a trained volunteer, and a certified child advocate manager. The team provides quality legal representation for all children appointed to the Office, while assisting the child in expressing their needs and wishes. The Office’s representation addresses the child’s legal, physical, educational, mental, emotional, and social needs. As a Volunteer Recruiter, Kerry-Ann is responsible for recruiting and retaining volunteers and mentors from the community, and facilitates training and community outreach activities.
