Joe Wells made his name as one of the UK’s sharpest political comedians with critically acclaimed shows like Night of the Living Tories 10 Things I Hate About UKIP and I Hope I Die Before I Start Voting Conservative.

More recently he’s gone viral (4.5M+ views) for personal punchy material about mental health and being autistic – earning him a devoted online following and sold-out solo tours in 2023 and 2024.

A favourite among comedy heavyweights Joe has supported Frankie Boyle Alexei Sayle and Stephen K Amos and appeared on C4 Dave BBC Two and UKTV. He was nominated for Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2024 and Best MC at the 2023 Chortle Awards.

Our compere and your host for Stand in The Basement Colin Owens is an award-winning stand-up comedian who has worked with Jimmy Carr the teams behind The Inbetweeners and Mighty Boosh. Described as ‘laconic and charming’ Colin talks about his failings inadequacies mistakes and general stupidity all tinged with an air of paranoia and insecurity but delivered with supreme confidence and sexual edginess!
