Beginning Knitting: A 4-Week Course for Adult Beginners

Ready to learn the art of knitting? Whether you’ve never picked up needles or just need a refresher, this four-week course is the perfect place to start. In a relaxed and supportive environment, you’ll learn the foundational skills of knitting, including how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, and read basic patterns.

What You’ll Learn:
• Week 1: Introduction to tools and materials, casting on, and the knit stitch
• Week 2: The purl stitch, combining knit and purl, and understanding stitch patterns
• Week 3: Binding off, fixing simple mistakes, and shaping techniques
• Week 4: Starting a small project (like a hat, fingerless mittens, or cowl) and finishing techniques
Bring US8 needles and skein of worsted weight yarn to first class (nothing fancy)
