Our Intermediate throwers course is designed for potters who have undertaken our 6-week beginners course although it is also suitable for beginners who would like to focus on centring.
You will throw with 1lb balls of Valentines KGM clay. You'll learn to throw on a wooden batt and you can scale up if you fancy.
In week 1 we’ll encourage you to cut work for closer examination. In week 2 you will throw your bowls and add a pouring lip. Week 3 is for slip decoration. If you prefer glaze decoration glazes are available at the studio at a cost of £5 per 100ml pot.
Unlimited clay and slip for decoration.
Expert tuition
Glazing and firing included. We will glaze and fire 2 bowls.
2 hours studio time each session. Clean up takes around 20 minutes so plan this in your timings.
E-tickets make event day easier—just show up and scan.
