Community Fossil Hunt

Come to the State park to search for nodules and fossils! We will learn about the area and it's fossils along with other science topics like archeology, geology, biology and chemistry! You will be able to collect fossils and take them home!

When: November 8, 2025

Where: Mazonia-Braidwood State Fish and Wildlife Area, Eagle Lake Parking Lot (7705 E. Hudson Rd., Braceville, IL)

Time: 9 am until Noon

Cost: FREE!

What to bring: Gloves and a water bottle

Dress in clothes for the weather and durable foot wear.
